Free Supplier Check: Send Us One Supplier Link, Get Honest Risk Notes Before You Pay

Found a factory on 1688, Alibaba, or at a trade show — but not sure if they are real, reliable, or actually a factory? Send me the link. I’ll run a background check the way I do for my own paying orders, and tell you straight what I find. Free. No sales pitch attached.

Why I Offer This for Free

I’m Yumi. I’ve sourced out of Guangzhou for 23 years and I personally oversee every Z-Pick order. Over the years I’ve seen buyers lose deposits to trading companies pretending to be factories, to “showroom only” suppliers, and to certificates that belong to someone else. A 30-minute background check on my side stops most of that. If my check saves your deposit and you later need someone on the ground to source, inspect, and ship — you’ll know who to call. That’s the whole business model.

What You Get Back (within 24 hours, China business hours)

1

Real Factory or Trading Company?

Business registration check: registered capital, establishment date, legal representative, and whether the entity matches the name on the quotation. Trading companies are not always bad — but you should know you are talking to one.

2

License & Risk Flags

Registration status (active / deregistered / abnormal operations list), litigation records, and obvious red flags: brand-new entity, mismatched address, or a “factory” whose registered scope is just wholesale.

3

1688 / Alibaba Cross-Check

Store age, transaction level, repeat-buyer rate, and whether the listing photos look like factory shots or copied catalog images. For 1688 links I also check the supplier’s verified business license against the store operator.

Plain-English Verdict

A short written note: looks safe to proceed, proceed with these protections, or walk away — plus the 2-3 things I would negotiate or verify before sending any money.

What this free check is — and isn’t

It is: a desktop background check on one supplier entity (registration, risk records, platform credibility), delivered as written notes. Enough to catch the majority of scams and mismatches before a deposit leaves your account.

It isn’t: an on-site factory audit, product inspection, or certification verification by testing — those require someone physically at the facility and are part of our paid sourcing service. If the free check flags things worth a physical look, I’ll tell you exactly what to ask for.

How It Works

  • Step 1: Message me on Telegram with the supplier link (1688, Alibaba, Made-in-China, or a WeChat business card) and the product you plan to order.
  • Step 2: I run the check during China business hours — registration records, risk databases, platform history.
  • Step 3: You get written risk notes and a clear verdict within 24 hours. If the supplier is fine, great — go ahead, and you owe me nothing. If there are issues, you get the specific questions to ask or reasons to walk.

Send Your Supplier Link Now

Tap the WhatsApp button — it opens a chat with the message already written. Just paste the supplier link before sending. Or email me if you prefer.

Already Sourcing and Need More Than a Check?

If the supplier passes but you want someone on the ground — price negotiation, pre-shipment inspection with 30+ photos, consolidation, and shipping handled — see how Z-Pick works on our Request a Quote page, or read How to Verify a Chinese Factory Before You Pay for the full checklist I use.
